Why LVP suits this part of Boulder County
Families around Superior spend a lot of time outside, whether it is the Coal Creek Trail, the neighborhood parks, or a weekend up in the foothills. That means mud, slush, and wet paws coming through the door from October through April. Luxury vinyl plank is waterproof, so a quick mop handles what would stain or swell other materials.
It also has the look people want from wood. Modern LVP carries realistic grain and subtle texture, and in a sunny main level it can read as real oak or hickory from across the room.

Finished basements and slab floors
Many Superior homes have finished or walk-out basements sitting on concrete, and Front Range clay soils can nudge those slabs over the years. Rigid-core LVP floats over a prepared slab and tolerates small movements better than glued-down hard products. Before we install, we test the concrete for moisture and flatten low spots.
It is also warmer and quieter than tile in a basement rec room, especially with an underlayment, which makes it a popular choice for playrooms and home gyms.

What LVP costs installed
Most Superior projects land around $5 to $10 per square foot installed, depending on the thickness of the plank, the wear layer, and how much prep your subfloor needs. Taking out old carpet or glue-down flooring and leveling the slab are the main variables. Stairs are priced separately because they involve extra cutting and fitting.
Your free in-home measure gives the exact number. We show you what each price tier buys, so you can decide whether a thicker, more durable plank is worth it for your household.

How the work unfolds
We begin with a visit from our mobile design showroom. We lay planks on your floor, hold them against your cabinets, and measure the rooms so you get a no-obligation quote the same day. After you approve, we schedule the job.
On install day we move furniture, remove the old flooring, prep the surface, install, and trim the edges. When we leave, the space is cleaned up, and within ten days we check back to be sure the floor is doing well.

Styles and options to compare
LVP comes in warm oaks, cool grays, and weathered browns, and in wide planks that suit modern open layouts. Look at the sample in the room where it will live, because Superior's big windows change how a color reads from morning to evening. A matte finish hides scuffs better than a high gloss.
If you want a mix, some homeowners use LVP downstairs and add carpet in the bedrooms for a soft landing. We can put both samples side by side.

Why call Floor Crafters
We have been family-owned since 1988, and we like to explain choices rather than rush them. You will deal with the same company from the first measure through the follow-up check.
Our work is backed by the Floor Crafters guarantee, and neighbors share their experience on our reviews page.

Everyday care in a dry climate
LVP does not need much. Sweep or use a soft vacuum, then damp-mop with a cleaner made for vinyl, avoiding harsh abrasives or steam. Door mats help catch grit before it reaches the planks.
Dry air does not bother vinyl the way it bothers wood, though strong direct sun through south windows can warm planks, so blinds are a good idea in the hottest months. Furniture pads prevent dents and scrapes.

The plank itself is. Water can still travel through seams if left for long periods, so we recommend wiping up big spills promptly.
Sometimes, if the floor is flat and well bonded, but we usually remove old flooring to give a clean, stable base. We look at it during your measure.
LVP is warmer than tile and works well with radiant heat when the product is rated for it. A good underlayment adds comfort.
Quality LVP resists fading well, but very strong, direct sun can still affect color over time, so window coverings help.
LVP is waterproof, while laminate has a fiberboard core that dislikes standing water. Compare them on our laminate page.
